Recording 7 - Hecuba, from Euripides’ Trojan Women – Jess Philips.
Astyanax is the child of Hector and Andromache, and is executed by the victorious Greeks. He is hurled from the top of the battlements of the conquered city, and his dead and mangled body is brought to his grandmother, Hecuba, on the shield of his father and her son, Hector.
